State Bank of India (SBI), the country's largest public sector bank, has alerted its customers that the last date for filing income tax returns is coming as close, as is the case of fraud on the internet increasing. In the last few days, many taxpayers are coming in the name of the Income Tax Department. It has asked for customer's information to get a refund amount. Let us state that the Income Tax Department has never asked such information.

Some SMS related to income tax refunds may steal your personal information. That is why consumers are advised to be careful. Ignore the SMS in this way or else block them. If your personal details reach anyway, contact SBI immediately.

The bank has also announced a video with it. It shows that as you click on this SMS you will go to the wrong website and ask for personal information. After this you will get money from your account.

If you have given your banking details by SMS, then millions of rupees can be lime. These people can transfer money from the bank knowing your personal details.

The Income Tax Department is also cautioning about online fraud by texting its taxpayers. It would be best that you do not respond to any suspicious mail and do not share bank accounts or credit card details.
